Day Trip to Arles- Painting in the footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh
The area of Arles was a favorite work place for many artists, including Pablo Picasso, Paul Gauguin and Vincent Van Gogh because of its beautiful natural light. It is an ancient city that was conquered by the Romans in the second century BC.
We will view the beautiful archtiecture of the Roman ampitheatre, visit the local shops and stand where Van Gogh stood as he painted some of his most famous paintings like Cafe Terrace at Night and Starry Night over the Rhone.
We will be joined by our resident artist as we visit the Roman road and paint.

Aperitif with French Tradition
For the foodies amongst us, this will be a true pleasure. We will experience the French tradition of an aperitif. French cuisine is an art form that takes every detail into cosideration. An aperitif is a small cocktail designed to stimulate the apetite, but this occassion is more than just a drink.
We will sample various wines while enjoying over a dozen different grabbable and dippable finger foods expertly prepared by our Chef.
We will be joined by some of our local friends who are happy to discuss some of their favorite parts of the French culture.

Day Trip to Aix-en-Provence
Here, the sun is always present and its warm color mixes with those of olive trees, vineyards, sunflowers, lavender, poppies or the cobalt blue sky. Soak up the sweetness of life while discovering the culture, history and cuisine of France. You will be charmed by the beauty of the places so dear to Cezanne, Van Gogh, Zola, Stendhal, Mistral and Pagnol.
We will take you to discover the emlblematic monuments, colorful market and cafe terraces of Aix.

Explore the artform of French Cuisine. Chef Ronald will give demonstrations of cooking techniques and ideas for creative decoration and presentation. This is an invitation to share the pleasure of cooking and learn to put your soul on the plate.

Terrain des Peintres (Painter's Park) with a Picnic Lunch
We will venture to a part of Aix and see the home of Paul Cezanne. We will picnic on the exact spot the Cezanne chose for painting one his most famous series of paintings. Mont Sainte-Victoire is a local landmark which Cezanne chose to paint over and over again.
